Instructional Designer – Pensacola, FL

Instructional Designer Position

The ASTA Group is looking to hire an Instructional Designer in Pensacola, FL. The candidate will develop, review and provide feedback on pre-training designs, implementation plans and evaluation workshops in support of RRL. They will also travel to Military/DoD learning sites to evaluate resources, infrastructure and compare with implementation plans. This position will be remote until the DoD authorizes the Pensacola military installations to reopen after the COVID-19 pandemic. Applicants must be eligible for a secret security clearance if hired.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, review and provide feedback on pre-training designs, implementation plans and evaluation workshops in support of RRL
  • Travel to Military/DoD learning sites to evaluate resources, infrastructure and compare with implementation plans
  • Ensure accurate job requirements are available/utilized
  • Ensure training aligns to requirements of military training standards
  • Identify any discrepancies between media/technology and learning requirements
  • Ensure proper assessment and evaluation strategies are in place and support the work requirements
  • Work well within a team environment as well as working independently
  • Analyze Training
  • Write, develop and present reports to all levels of management/command
  • Conduct Feasibility Studies
  • Conduct Facility Studies
  • Scope existing training programs and determine what is current and valuable to future training
  • Design/develop Excel spreadsheets for various data manipulation applications
  • Develop TCCDs and/or Training plans
  • Willingness to perform tasks outside of your specific job description when needed

Requirements

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Experience in ADDIE and ISD computer applications
  • Bachelors degree highly desired but military hands-on experience will also be considered
  • Must have an active Secret level security clearance or be within the re-activation window
  • Microsoft Excel experience
  •  Curriculum design and training development skills
  • Military (DoD) experience desired

Compensation and Benefits

Annual Salary: $69,500.00 to $72,500.00
